Garage Sales Set To Take Over Camden This November

Residents are invited to be part of a community-wide event where locals can declutter, sell preloved items, and uncover hidden treasures.

Hosted by Camden Council and Wollondilly Shire Council as part of the national Garage Sale Trail, Macarthur's Biggest Garage Sale will be held on Saturday 15 November at Onslow Park, 10 Cawdor Road, Camden.

For those without space at home, or who prefer to join in with others, it's the perfect opportunity to book a stall or sell straight from a car boot in a group setting.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the event was the perfect way for locals to embrace sustainability while connecting with their community.

"Macarthur's Biggest Garage Sale is all about reuse, repurposing and community spirit," she said. "It's a chance to give unwanted items a second life, save money and come together for a fun day in Camden.

"Did you know that, last year, the average garage sale made $478, and $45,175 was made for local households, community groups and charities - and this year promises to be even bigger!"

Residents are invited to get involved by:

• Selling - residents can register to book a stall or car boot space at Onslow Park;

• Shopping - residents are invited to come along on the day to hunt for bargains, unique

finds and vintage treasures; and

• Joining the Trail - if residents can't make the Macarthur's Biggest Garage Sale event, they can host their own sale at home during the Garage Sale Trail weekends (Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 and Saturday 15and Sunday 16 November).
