GBP announced the launch of its integrated cable connection solution for utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). The offering covers component selection, procurement, installation, and after-sales support, providing project stakeholders with a more streamlined and reliable approach to cable connection design and execution.

As battery storage projects continue to scale globally, developers, EPC contractors, and asset owners are facing increasing pressure to deliver systems that are not only cost-effective, but also safe, durable, and easier to maintain over the long term. In this context, the quality and compatibility of cable connection systems have become an increasingly important factor in overall project reliability and lifecycle performance.

Traditionally, copper cables have been widely used in energy infrastructure due to their conductivity and established track record. However, rising copper prices are driving greater interest in aluminum cable solutions as a more cost-efficient alternative. At the same time, aluminum requires a different engineering approach, including appropriate component selection and installation methods, to ensure safe and stable performance.

GBP's integrated solution is designed to address these requirements through a single-source approach. In addition to supplying high-voltage aluminum cables, the company supports customers with cable and terminal selection, related tooling, installation coordination, and warranty-backed post-installation support. By consolidating these functions under one partner, the solution helps reduce coordination complexity and improve project execution efficiency.

A key component of the solution is GBP's high-voltage DC aluminum cable for battery storage systems, which became the first product in its category to receive JET certification in April 2025. The certification was granted following a rigorous testing and review process, providing independent validation of product quality and safety. As of November 2025, cumulative sales of GBP's 3300V high-voltage aluminum cable exceeded 200,000 meters, reflecting growing adoption across battery storage applications.

GBP also offers hybrid terminals that have undergone third-party evaluation testing by TÜV. The testing confirmed that the connection strength is maintained even under highly corrosive environmental conditions, including severe salt exposure. This combination of certified cables and validated terminal performance enables GBP to provide a more technically robust cable connection solution for outdoor energy storage installations.

In addition to product quality, the company emphasizes execution and long-term support. GBP's cable solutions are manufactured under strict quality control standards, and the company provides a structured support and warranty framework to help customers respond quickly in the event of operational issues. This integrated delivery model is intended to support smoother project implementation while reducing interface risk between material supply and field installation.

By combining certified components with integrated engineering and installation support, GBP provides battery storage developers and EPC contractors with a more practical and reliable approach to cable connection design and execution. The solution is intended to help reduce coordination risk, improve installation quality, and support more stable long-term operation of utility-scale BESS projects.
