The extension of Bogong Car Park in Glen Waverley will get underway soon, with Council awarding the construction tender to Building Engineering Pty Ltd.

The $40m+ extension of four additional floors will provide more than 500 new car parking spaces - taking the capacity to over 1,000. Construction will start in July and is expected to be finished and ready to use in early-2025.

During construction the car park will close and Council is urging shoppers, diners, and visitors to Glen Waverley to make use of the nearby Euneva Car Park.

Signage will be in place before construction gets underway telling people about the closure. Council is also making changes to on-street parking restrictions in the surrounding streets to create additional capacity.

Monash Mayor, Cr Tina Samardzija, is excited to see work get underway.

"This is a big project for Glen Waverley and Monash.

"We know how important car parking is in our activity centres, and especially so in Glen Waverley with works on the Suburban Rail Loop set to start soon.

"There will be disruption during construction, so we urge people to use our Euneva Car Park nearby and keep supporting Glen Waverley businesses. Parking at Euneva is free, open 24 hours a day and just a four-minute walk from the heart of Kingsway".
