Gloaming Reserve in Hillbank is the latest local park to receive an upgrade, as part of City of Playford's efforts to provide quality parks and open spaces across the city.
The upgrade will deliver a more welcoming and accessible space for the community, with works set to include new play equipment, improved landscaping and the addition of sheltered seating areas and pathways.
These enhancements aim to support active lifestyles, provide more opportunities for families to connect, and create inviting spaces for all ages to enjoy.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said the upgrade aligns with Council's broader vision for a more connected community.
"Our parks and reserves play a vital role in supporting community connection and active recreation," Mayor Docherty said.
"By investing in places like Gloaming Reserve, we're ensuring our suburbs remain great places to live, play and grow."
Construction has started with the reserve temporarily closed to the public during works to ensure safety. The project is expected to be completed in September.
This upgrade follows recent improvements to other community open spaces across Playford, including Barry Warren Reserve, Virgo Street Reserve, Barrow Crescent Reserve and Kalara Reserve.
