Gold Coast Break-In Attempt, Vehicle Theft Reported

Three teenage boys have been arrested following a break and enter at Paradise Point and a stolen vehicle incident at Bundall in the early hours of this morning, 4 November.

Around 2.40am police received a report of a group of people attempting to break into a residence at Dobell Avenue at Paradise Point allegedly armed with knives and bats.

The 59-year-old male resident confronted the group who verbally threatened him before leaving the scene in two separate vehicles, a white Audi TT and a Mazda CX5. No one was physically injured in this incident.

Around 3.09am the white Audi was sighted travelling west bound on Brisbane Road at Arundel. A tyre deflation device (TDD) was deployed but the Audi avoided the site striking a Ford F250 before driving off. The 62-year-old male driver of the Ford F250 was not injured in the incident.

Around 3.36am the blue Mazda CX5 was observed in Bundall and a TDD was successfully deployed on Salerno Street with the vehicle being dumped nearby at Bundall Road.

The Dog Squad commenced a track from this location locating three teenage boys on Boomerang Crescent.

Two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were all taken into custody.

Police investigations have established that the blue Mazda CX5 was stolen from a residence in Springfield in Brisbane between 12.05am on 1 November and 4.45am on 2 November.

The white Audi with Queensland registration KK56 was stolen from Stretton in Brisbane between 2 November and the 3 November. Police are still trying to locate this vehicle and its occupants.

Investigations remain ongoing.
