Gold Coast Multi-Faith Dinner strengthening bonds

South Eastern Police Region Assistant Commissioner Brian Wilkins recently hosted the Gold Coast Multi-Faith Dinner at the St Anna Greek Orthodox Church at Bundall.

This dinner was an opportunity for members of various religions, faiths and cultures to come together with the Queensland Police Service to acknowledge and share in a celebration of their diversity.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has a long and proud history of community engagement on the Gold Coast and each year this continues to grow from strength to strength.

Assistant Commissioner Wilkins said, "These functions are integral to our commitment to fostering partnerships within the community and to keeping communication open and transparent between the QPS and the communities in which we serve."

Father Romanos Stergios and the team from the Greek Orthodox Community of St Anna catered for the community dinner.

In excess of 170 invited guests attended the event and witnessed performances from the Nadananjali School of Indian Dance and Chinese Orchid New Music Group.

A similar event will be held in Logan in June 2019.
