On Thursday, 3 July 2025, 27 individuals were officially welcomed as Australian citizens during a special ceremony in Goulburn.

Mayor Nina Dillon, joined by Councillors Liz McKeon, Michael Prevedello and Keith Smith, presented each new citizen with their certificate and offered warm congratulations.

"It's a privilege to welcome such a diverse group of people who have chosen to make Australia—and the Goulburn Mulwaree region—their home," said Mayor Dillon. "Today we celebrated with new citizens from countries including Brazil, Britain, China, India, Iran, Nepal, New Zealand, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States."

After the formalities, a morning tea was held for the new citizens and their families, providing a chance to mark the occasion and share the celebration together.
