Only days remain for community groups, organisations and individuals to apply for the Community, Environment Support and Facility Grant Programs.

Applications close on Monday 25 May for community groups, clubs, and individuals with bright ideas that will benefit their community.

The Facility, Community and Environment Support programs are provided on a dollar-for-dollar basis. The Events and Festivals Grants Program will be run separately later in the year when there is more information about when coronavirus restrictions on mass gatherings are likely to be lifted.

The Community Grants Program offers "one off" financial assistance up to $1000 to local community groups for workshops, equipment, planning activities, community events and the development of new community, leisure, cultural or recreational programs.

The Facility Grants Program offers up to $2000 to Committees of Management, clubs or organisations to help with facility improvements, repairs or equipment at halls and recreation reserves.

The Environment Support Grants Program offers up to $2000 (include in-kind support) for environment and sustainability projects, such as weed control, sustainable agriculture, projects related to climate change, native vegetation protection, improvements to soil health and water quality, waste reduction or including installation of energy and water saving items at community facilities.

Groups and individuals are encouraged to call Council on 5593 7100 to discuss their application with an officer and ensure it meets funding criteria.
