A Western Australian-based specialist motorcycle and parts manufacturer is speeding up production to meet world-demand for its highly-regarded products with support from the McGowan Government's Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants.
Nannup-based business Vee Two will soon be flicking the switch on a newly-purchased computerised access milling machine that will allow the business to manufacture complex motorcycle parts with one process.
Up until now, engine components have been hand-made by the business and there is a three-year wait for some products, popular with enthusiasts around the globe.
The machine will allow Vee Two to increase production for the niche international classic Ducati market, making the business more competitive. New local jobs are expected to be created as the Nannup business grows.
Vee Two currently produces hand-built classic motorcycles, replacement parts for classic Ducati motorcycles, and carries out engine rebuilds and restorations.
Limited edition replicas of motorcycling royalty Mike Hailwood's winning Isle of Man motorcycle are being produced.
One of the Hailwood replicas is expected to be used in a planned feature film, which Vee Two will support as a supplier.
Round 4 of the RED Grants is now open, with funding available to support jobs and business opportunities across regional WA.
