Local governments and community organisations can apply for up to $10,000 to support youth-focused projects that build life skills and strengthen community engagement.
The State Government has officially opened applications for the 2025-26 WA Youth Engagement Grants Program, enabling organisations to support young people aged 10 to 25 years across Western Australian communities.
This annual grants program invites local governments, community service organisations, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) to apply for funding to support projects that establish Youth Advisory Councils, implement youth-led projects and support young people to be involved in community life or build their skills and capacity.
From learning how to budget and write a resume, to establishing mechanisms to embed young people's voices in decision-making, the grants aim to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available for short-term initiatives, and up to $10,000 for longer-term strategic projects that make a lasting impact.
There is a strong focus on boosting opportunities in regional and remote areas, as well as those that establish or support Youth Advisory Councils - a key element of the WA Youth Action Plan 2024-2027: Koorlangka Bidi .
The grants also support the Cook Labor Government's priority of building safe and inclusive communities for all Western Australians.
Last year, nearly $220,000 was awarded to 30 organisations to deliver youth-focused activities, demonstrating the program's growing impact.
Applications close 3pm Monday 17 November 2025.
If your organisation is passionate about supporting young people and building stronger, more inclusive communities, now is the time to get involved.
