Grants open now for community groups

Community groups can now apply for up to $2000 through Council's Connected Communities Fund to support their events or activities.

Organisations or people who are planning festivals or events, a tree planting day, courses or workshops, exercise programs and other activities are encouraged to apply for the grants.

The community can also join Council in celebrating the milestone Campbelltown 2020 program by applying for a $1000 grant to host an event which celebrates one of the program's three themes.

The themes are our rich aboriginal history, bicentennial milestones and future aspirations of the city.

"If you've got a fantastic idea to help us celebrate Campbelltown 2020 then we want to see it happen," said Mayor George Brticevic.

"We want to support community projects that create a positive atmosphere in our city, benefit our residents and celebrate all the great features of Campbelltown," Cr Brticevic said.

Details on how to apply and application criteria is available at Council's website.
