Greater Geelong Invited To Vote For 2026 Calendar

Voting to select the photos for the 2026 City of Greater Geelong calendar will close this week.

This year's calendar competition was extremely popular, with 833 entries received from photographers embracing this year's theme of 'Your City, Your Eyes', which was selected to encourage submissions offering fresh takes on the City and its stunning features.

The City's judging panel has created a shortlist of 26 images, with the community voting to determine the final 13 to be used in the calendar – one for each month and a cover photo. This year sees a return to community photographers supplying all of the images for the calendar following community feedback.

Voting is being conducted online , and is open until 4:00pm on Thursday 30 October.

When it is ready in December 2025, the final calendar will be available at more collection points, including all City Customer Service Centres (Wurriki Nyal, Corio, and Drysdale), as well as Swim Sport and Leisure Centres and libraries, while stocks last.

Greater Geelong residents can register to receive a copy via Australia Post by Friday 21 November.

Mayor Stretch Kontelj OAM:

We know from feedback that residents love the City of Greater Geelong calendar, and we've made some improvements for the 2026 edition.

We've opened every month up to voting once again, and we've added new collection points for easy pick-up.

For residents who are unable to collect their calendar in person, I strongly suggest registering to receive yours through Australia Post at www.geelongaustralia.com.au/calendar by Friday 21 November.

Arts and Culture, Hospitality and Live Entertainment portfolio chair Councillor Eddy Kontelj:

We received incredible entries from some very talented local photographers this year.

Now, we want the community to help with selecting the final 13 images, giving us a 2026 calendar that best showcases the beauty of our City.
