Greening Altona Coastal Park

National Tree Day

Green-thumbs, nature-lovers, garden novices and anyone in between are invited to get their hands dirty and plant a tree or two for National Tree Day on Sunday 1 August, 10am to 1pm, at Altona Coastal Park, Altona Road, Seaholme.

Over 2,500 coastal and saltmarsh species will be planted to improve biodiversity, providing increased habitat for local wildlife.

Refreshments will be provided including hot drinks and the ever-popular roving performers the Connies will provide entertainment and share their collectable swap-cards.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Please bring your own gloves if possible and bring a water bottle.

Tools, equipment, watering cans and drinking water will be provided.

Meet at the carpark adjoining the Pines Scout Camp and use the QR code to sign in.
