To celebrate the opening of Greville Street Library at the Prahran Town Hall, we're holding a free family event on Saturday 11 October.
We have lots of fun activities planned for all to enjoy.
Come along to discover - or rediscover - your much-loved modernised library, now with a larger collection, more study areas, public computers, and space for programs and events!
Dive into new books, try your hand at collage and boomerang painting, and enjoy Storytime with special guest readers, Mayor Councillor Melina Sehr and Koorie and Jardwadjali / Gunditjmara Elder, Aunty Titta Secombe.
Explore and learn about Greville Street through the ages with a display and talk by our history team.
Seventeen exciting artworks from Stonnington's contemporary art collection are on public view at the library. Come along to view the artworks in a guided tour and learn about the artists and their significance to Stonnington.
Join the future play lab for regenerative play in the library and on Greville Street, and engage in music games, new sports and play about place.
Swing by the Victoria Police and Crime Stoppers booth! Whether you want free license plate screws, tips on preventing theft, or just a chat with local officers - they'll be there.
Come and chat to the William Angliss Skills and Jobs Centre team, who can provide tips and advice on searching for and applying for jobs.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join us in the celebrations!
