Grievous bodily harm charge, Allenstown

Detectives have charged a 47-year-old man following an alleged wounding in Allenstown overnight (March 6).

It will be alleged at approximately 8.30pm at a Derby Street address, an altercation occurred between two men who are known to each other.

A 47-year-old Allenstown man suffered a single stab wound to the stomach and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police attended and with assistance from the dog squad, located a 47-year-old Sunshine Coast man in a nearby street.

He has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court today (March 7).
