Kalgoorlie Detectives have charged two men following an incident that occurred in Kambalda East on Saturday, 21 February 2026.
About 3.40am, emergency services received a report a car had crashed into a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Larkin Road. A short time later, it will be alleged an altercation occurred between two men in the driveway, during which a 30-year-old male victim sustained stab-wound injuries to the head and neck.
Police and St John WA attended the scene and located the victim with serious, life-threatening injuries. He was conveyed to Kalgoorlie Hospital before being flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital for emergency surgery.
A 21-year-old man from Kambalda West has been charged with one count of 'Grievous Bodily Harm'. His bail was refused and he is due to appear before the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Monday, 23 February 2026.
A 26-year-old man from Kambalda West has been charged with:
• 1 x Driver of a vehicle involved in an accident in which property was damaged failed to report accident to police
• 1 x Driver of a vehicle involved in an incident where property was damaged failed to stop as required to do so
He has been bailed to appear before the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Monday, 9 March 2026.
