Griffith Council Invites Residents to Upcoming Yenda COG Meeting

Griffith City Council invites residents to attend the final Community Opinion Group (COG) Meeting for the year on Wednesday 1 November 2023 at the Yenda Diggers Club from 7pm.

The COG Meetings demonstrate Council's ongoing commitment to open and transparent consultation.

COG Meetings are an ideal way for the community to connect with Councillors and senior staff.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said Council will present a number of items as well as address any questions submitted for the Agenda by members of the community.

"We will be presenting an update on what the proposed Specail Rate Variation (SRV) is up to. A report is going to the Council meeting on 24 October so we will know what direction Councillors have chosen to go by the COG Meeting," said Councillor Curran.

"I'd urge interested residents to take the time to submit their own items and come along."

To have your items added to the October COG Meeting Agenda, head to forms.griffith.nsw.gov.au/Forms/COGS and fill out the submission form by 4pm on Thursday 27 October 2023.

This will be the last COG Meeting for 2023 and meetings for 2024 will be advertised early in the new year.

Designed to complement the monthly Council Café and weekly Council Catch Up newsletter, the COG Meeting allows community matters of concern to be documented and if appropriate, championed by a Councillor through a Notice of Motion procedure to Council for formal consideration.
