The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Victoria Branch, ('The Guild') has welcomed the appointment of Harriet Shing MLC as Victoria's new Minister for Health and Ambulance Services.
"The Guild congratulates Harriet Shing on her appointment as Health Minister," said Victoria Branch President George Tambassis.
Mr Tambassis said the Guild is committed to working with Minister Shing to build on the progress delivered through the Community Pharmacist Program and ensure Victorians continue to benefit from care delivered close to home.
"The reforms delivered through the Community Pharmacist Program have shown what can be achieved when government and community pharmacy work together with a shared focus on patients.
"We very much look forward to working collaboratively with Minister Shing to continue to strengthen community pharmacy's role in delivering accessible and affordable patient care across Victoria," said Mr Tambassis.
