Hazard Reduction Burn In Royal National Park |

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, together with NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), will be conducting a hazard reduction burn in Royal National Park near Grays Point from tomorrow, Saturday 9 May to Sunday 10 May.

The approximately 160-hectare burn will be east of the Princes Highway and bounded by Savilles Creek and Temptation Creek trails.

All tracks and trails in the burn area will be closed during the burn and will remain closed for several days afterwards, until assessed as safe.

The aim of the burn is to improve protection for neighbouring properties and the suburbs of Grays Point and Kirrawee by reducing the spread of potential bushfires within the park.

Smoke may impact the Princes Highway to the west. Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions and to take care if visibility is reduced by smoke.
