Headspace Rockhampton has been announced as the beneficiary of the 2022 Mayors Carols by Candlelight concerts.

Proceeds from tickets for the Pilbeam Theatre concert and donations made at the Music Bowl concert will go to the organisation's outreach programs, helping the region's young people with mental health services.

Rockhampton Mayor Tony Williams said that he was pleased to announce that Headspace would be this year's Carols by Candlelight beneficiary.

"Headspace Rockhampton provides a free essential centre-based service in Rockhampton and outreach supports to Regional Central Queensland to young people aged 12 to 25 years.

"It's a very worthy cause and I urge people to give what they can at the Carols by Candlelight concerts," he said

Headspace supports a diverse range of young people in all walks of life. Carols by Candlelight donations will go towards building supports for young people aged 12 to 25 years including school holiday programs, outreach to local schools, First Nation yarns, and LGBTQIA+ education.

The Pilbeam Theatre Carols by Candlelight concert will be staged on Wednesday 7 December at 7pm. Tickets, at $12 for adults and $8 for concessions are now on sale at www.seeitlive.com.au.

The Music Bowl concert will be held on Saturday 10 December at 7pm with gates opening at 5pm. Entry is by donation at the gate. Food and refreshments will be on sale.

The Mayor's Carols by Candlelight is a Rockhampton Regional Council event supported by CQ Today, WIN Television, Triple M and other local businesses.
