Heartless thieves steal memories in Croydon North burglary

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary in Croydon North on 26 July.

Investigators believe unknown offenders gained entry to the Justin Court house between 12pm and 5pm by jemmying a rear door.

The victims have four children and amongst items stolen was a hard drive video camera and video tapes that contain footage of the children.

One of the children is special needs and the offenders took new hearing aids which are required to assist him.

This child also suffers a rare disease with limited life expectancy and the family are desperate for the items to be returned.

Other items stolen include an old prayer book from the victim's late grandmother and heirloom jewellery.

Investigators have released photos of jewellery taken from the burglary in the hope someone recognises it.
