Clarence Valley Council is inviting community members to have their say on the Library Service Review, helping ensure our libraries continue to be relevant, effective and responsive to the needs of our community.
By completing our short survey (5–10 minutes), you'll be helping us understand what aspects of our library service you value most, where improvements can be made, and how we can encourage more people to enjoy the many benefits our libraries offer.
Clarence Valley Council's General Manager, Laura Black, said taking part in the survey is vital in ensuring our libraries are meeting the needs of our community.
"We have a robust service review program, as we are always looking for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services, whether that's the library, open space maintenance, facility management or anything in between. As the libraries are a front line service, it's crucial that our residents tell us what we're doing well and where we can do better.
"With four library branches, a mobile library and a home library service serving the Clarence Valley and 42% of our community registered as members, it's clear that our libraries are vibrant, well‑loved hubs at the heart of local life."
Clarence Regional Library operates branches across the Clarence Valley in Grafton, Iluka, Maclean and Yamba, as well as a Mobile Library service, and across Bellingen Shire in Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga. This network provides convenient access for residents in both urban and rural communities.
Through our partnership with Bellingen Shire Council, we deliver a shared regional library service that broadens our collection, enhances access to resources and programs, and strengthens service delivery across both local government areas.
The Library Service Review survey is now open until Thursday, 5 March 2026. To take part, visit: www.clarenceconversations.com.au/library-service-review
