Helping To Shape Our Council Plan

Council plan

Swan Hill Rural City Council recently hosted a series of community workshops across the municipality as part of its work to develop a new Council Plan and review the Community Vision.

Council's Mayor, Cr Stuart King said the sessions provided an opportunity for residents to actively participate, share their ideas, raise local priorities, and take part in meaningful conversations about the future of the region.

"These workshops provided a valuable opportunity for residents to speak directly with Councillors and Council staff.

"We're grateful to everyone who took the time to get involved—their insights and input will play a crucial role in shaping our long-term planning," he said.

Cr King said community engagement remains a key focus as the process to prepare the plan continues.

"Those who couldn't attend a workshop, still have an opportunity to have their say via an online survey, which is open until 5pm on Friday, 16 May 2025.

The survey is a vital part of the engagement process—ensuring that every voice is heard and that our community plays an active role in shaping Council's future direction," Cr King said.
