High-range PCA charge after car damaged at The Entrance, NSW

A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after a car was damaged at the Entrance yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 8:30pm (Wednesday 17 October 2018), officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District were called to The Entrance Road, The Entrance, after a Subaru Forrester being driven by a 65-year-old woman allegedly hit a parked car.

The woman was unable to get out of the vehicle for some time due to being restricted by a side wall of the building where her car had stopped. She was eventually removed from the vehicle uninjured.

A roadside breath-test of the driver proved positive and the woman was arrested and taken to The Entrance Police Station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.200.

The woman, from Bateau Bay, was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for high-range PCA and is due to appear at court at a later date.

Her licence was confiscated and suspended.
