Yeppoon officers have charged a 37-year-old Rockyview man following investigations into domestic violence offences this month.
Police will allege the man assaulted and threatened violence towards a woman a number of times throughout September.
He has been charged with several domestic violence offences including common assault, strangulation, and threatening violence, and using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.
The 37-year-old Rockyview man has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 12 November.
Capricornia District Inspector Mel Cowie said there is no place for domestic violence of any kind in the community, and high-harm offenders will be held to account.
"Violence in any form is never acceptable, and we will continue to employ a zero-tolerance policy against domestic violence offenders," said Inspector Cowie.
"The protection of victims is paramount, and everyone has the right to feel safe and respected in their home."
"Reporting domestic and family violence can save lives, and we urge anyone who sees or hears any form of domestic violence to call police immediately."
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic and family violence, you should report it to police.
