The biggest event on The Hills Shire calendar is back in 2026 with a bumper lineup locked in for Council's Australia Day celebrations on January 26.
The day will kick off at Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre, which will host its signature pool party from 10am – 3pm, featuring a live DJ, free sausage sizzle, and roving entertainment.
Then, The Hills Shire's blockbuster event, Fun at the Farm, will kick off from 4:30pm at Bella Vista Farm with performances from 2025 Australian Idol Winner Marshall Hamburger, Sesame Street characters, and crowd favourites La Fiesta Sound System.
Local performance groups will perform on the Community Stage, and attendees will enjoy FREE face painting, activities, and roving entertainment. Amusement rides and a bite to eat from the variety of on-site food trucks will be available for purchase. The night will end with a fantastic fireworks finale.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said Council's Australia Day party was the best in Sydney and a true celebration of what it means to be Australian.
"As The Hills Shire becomes an increasingly diverse community with more people born overseas than ever before, our Australia Day celebrations are booming in popularity," Mayor Byrne said.
"Increasingly, it's our migrant communities who are turning up in big numbers to celebrate what it means to be Australian, a testament to the unifying nature of our events.
"I'm proud that we can provide our residents with an opportunity to come together on our nation's day at two family-friendly events.
"We will also officially welcome new citizens to The Hills during a citizenship ceremony at Council's Administration Building on the day, an occasion these new citizens won't forget.
"It's set to be a phenomenal day for our community as we celebrate our great country."

WHAT: Main Stage performances from 2025 Australian Idol Winner Marshall Hamburger, Sesame Street characters, and La Fiesta Sound System, Community Stage performances from local performance groups, food trucks, amusement rides, FREE activities, face painting, roving entertainment, and fireworks finale.
COST: Entry is FREE. Food from food trucks and tickets for amusement rides will be available for purchase.
TRANSPORT: Limited parking will be available on-site. A free shuttle bus will run from Bella Vista Metro Station.
