Hills Youth Week: Activities Beyond Celebration

A group of people in black tops are looking down into the camera with smiles, their faces forming a circle against a blue sky with clouds.

To celebrate Youth Week (16 - 26 April 2026), we hosted a jam-packed lineup of free events designed especially for local young people.

From getting active with the Parramatta Eels to a free movie screening, an Easel and Eats session, a hands-on filmmaking workshop, and the launch of our Youth Ambassador Advika's Message Tree, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Youth Week in The Hills only spans one week, so we've put together a list of other ways young people can get involved and stay connected in our community throughout the year.

Become our Next Youth Ambassador

Our Youth Ambassador Program provides residents aged 15-24 with an opportunity to be the voice for young people in The Hills.

Over the course of the 12-month program, Youth Ambassadors champion an initiative they are passionate about, actively participate in the Hills Youth Army, and play a meaningful role in helping Council identify and understand youth needs and interests.

Applications for the 26-27 Youth Ambassador Program will open soon.
