Hit and run appeal at Beenleigh

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run traffic incident in Beenleigh on May 14.

About 5:40pm, a 50-year-old Beenleigh woman, driving a blue Mazda 3, was giving way to traffic at the intersection of Harburg Drive and Logan River Road when she was allegedly hit from behind by a dark coloured 4WD.

The 4WD then turned around and drove off in a southerly direction down Harburg Drive.

The woman received treatment at the scene for chest injuries.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone with dashcam footage of the dark coloured 4WD from 5:15pm to 6pm, to contact police.
