Joondalup Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident that occurred in Hocking around 5.30am today, Tuesday 24 May 2022.
A 56-year-old man was walking along a footpath linking Vignerons Loop with Wanneroo Road and an unknown person approached from behind and punched the victim to his head and face. The victim was kicked as he lay on the ground.
The offender fled on foot with the victim's backpack.
The victim was conveyed by ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus with injuries to his face and a possible fracture to his leg.
Detectives urge anyone with information regarding this incident, or who has CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area between 5.15am and 5.30am, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
