Hodgson Meets Poland's Energy Strategist Wrochna

Today, Canada's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Tim Hodgson, met with Poland's Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure and Secretary of State, Wojciech Wrochna. They discussed advancing cooperation on nuclear and clean energy as part of the Canada-Poland Strategic Partnership. Minister Hodgson affirmed Canada's readiness to mobilize Canada's nuclear expertise, industrial capacity, and governmental support for Poland as it advances discussions on its second nuclear power plant.

Secretary Wrochna provided an update on Poland's priorities related to liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports, offshore wind development and the modernization of critical transmission and gas infrastructure. Minister Hodgson reaffirmed Canada's commitment to deepening collaboration in these areas.

Minister Hodgson and Secretary Wrochna agreed to continue close engagement in support of shared energy security, clean technology, and economic cooperation goals.
