Homicide Squad investigate Geelong assault

Homicide Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of a man with life threatening injuries in Geelong last night.

The 41-year-old Colac man was last seen leaving a property on Swanston Street about 6.15pm dressed in a red and black check long sleeved shirt and pants.

He was located with life threatening head injuries in nearby Ritchie Boulevard at Eastern Beach about 11.50pm and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
