IBAC charges a fourth person in relation to electoral fraud investigation

Victoria's anti-corruption Commission, IBAC, today charged a fourth person in relation to IBAC's investigation, Operation Naxos, into allegations of fraudulent practices within the electorate office of a former member of the Victorian Parliament. Today's action by IBAC follows the charging of three people yesterday in relation to the same investigation.

The matter was referred to IBAC following a preliminary review by the Department of Parliamentary Services.

The charges relate to conspiracy to attempt to pervert the course of justice, perjury, conspiracy to mislead IBAC, and disclosure of IBAC information.

The first court appearance is scheduled at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 9 January 2019.
