IBAC notes Parliamentary Committee report into police oversight

IBAC, Victoria’s anti-corruption and police oversight agency notes the report of the Parliament’s IBAC Committee Inquiry into the external oversight of police corruption and misconduct in Victoria, tabled before Parliament today.

IBAC CEO, Mr Alistair Maclean said: ‘IBAC provided detailed information and evidence to assist the Committee’s inquiry and acknowledges the Committee’s consideration of how police oversight may be enhanced.’

IBAC looks forward to the Government’s response. Any legislative change as a result of the Committee’s recommendations will ultimately be a matter for Parliament.
