IFAD President Gilbert Houngbo today issued the following statement on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
"On behalf of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), its staff, and on my own personal behalf, I extend our most heartfelt and sincere condolences to Your Majesty, the Royal Family, the Government and people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Commonwealth of Nations.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II inspired and guided innumerable world leaders as an extraordinary diplomat, but equally touched the lives of the people of her nation and beyond.
She will be remembered fondly for her life-long service to her people and to the international community."
