Images released as part of Bell Post Hill fatal collision investigation

Investigators have released images of vehicles they wish to identify in relation to a fatal collision in Bell Post Hill last month.

It is believed a woman was driving a blue Kia Rio eastbound along Creamery Road when her vehicle hit a couch on the road around 7.50pm on Saturday, 10 September.

The Kia Rio then collided with a Hyundai i40 travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver and sole occupant of the Kia Rio, a 74-year-old North Geelong woman, was taken to hospital where she later died.

The occupants of the Hyundai i40, a woman and two children, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

As part of their investigation, detectives are releasing images of four vehicles that were travelling along Creamery Road at or around the time of the collision and are appealing for the drivers to come forward as they may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first car pictured is believed to be a Holden Commodore Utility or similar, the second a white hatch back, the third a dark coloured SUV and the fourth a utility with fixed tool box attached to the tray.

Anyone with dashcam footage, who witnessed the crash or with information on the couch is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link.
