Images released as police appeal for driver to come forward after Mansfield crash

Police have released the image of a man they believe could assist with their investigations into a car and caravan fire in Mansfield earlier today.

Investigators believe a black Toyota Land Cruiser towing a bright green ski boat on a black trailer overtook a Red Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Station Wagon towing a White Scenic Galaxy caravan on Mansfield-Woods Point Road about 11.15am.

It is believed the Red Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Station Wagon and caravan was forced off the roadway where they caught fire.

The male driver of the car, a 73-year-old Weir Views man and his female passenger, a 71-year-old Weir Views woman received serious injuries and were air-lifted to hospital.

Investigators are now releasing images of a vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident as well as a man they believe could assist with the investigation.

Police encourage the man, or anyone else who witnessed the incident to come forward.
