There are countless things around you every day that wouldn't be possible without volunteers. What would the Peninsula be like without lifesavers, the SES, sporting clubs, our local food relief services, and the many volunteers who restore local ecosystems?
Today marks the beginning of National Volunteer Week 2023, from 15 – 21 May where we recognise and celebrate the vital support of volunteers and encourage other people to give their time for the wellbeing of our communities.
Did you know that more than 20,000 Mornington Peninsula residents volunteer their time to make the Peninsula a safer, healthier, happier and more beautiful place to live?
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, you'll find us at the Mornington Market this Wednesday 17 May, from 9am to 2pm. At our stall, we'll be joined by local organisations and community groups looking for volunteers to join their teams.
