As part of national efforts to address inequality and promote social justice, ESCWA, in collaboration with the Syrian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, organized in Damascus the first national consultative workshop for members of the National Task Force on Equality.
Held on 3 February, the workshop focused on designing inclusive, evidence-based policies to reduce multidimensional inequalities, with a particular emphasis on youth inclusion and economic empowerment. It also provided a platform for policymakers and national experts on effective policy solutions to address inequalities.
Participants agreed on a single development priority to address jointly, aiming to shape a national initiative in response.
