Indecent Treatment Of Children Charges At Gold Coast

Detectives from Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 58-year-old man following investigations into alleged indecent treatment of children between November 2020 and May 2024.

Following extensive investigations, detectives last night, 13 June, arrested the man on 12 offences involving multiple victims.

Police allege that the man utilised his position as a nurse to offend against six teenage girls.

The 58-year-old Robina man has been charged with six counts of stalking, two counts of indecent treatment of a child, and one count each of sexual assault, abuse of office, possess child exploitation material, and creating child exploitation material.

Police refused bail, and he is due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, 15 June.
