Indooroopilly Named Retail Property Of Year

Property Council Queensland executive director Jess Caire said the Queensland Retail Property of the Year Awards reflected the depth, sophistication and creativity of Queensland's retail sector.

"Here in Queensland, we're lucky to have great retail precincts big and small, suburban and local, innovative and creative," Ms Caire said.

"This year's award winners demonstrate the high calibre of people behind the thriving retail spaces that provide for our communities and drive local economies."

"We're particularly pleased to recognise the retail leaders and teams who keep our retail precincts going, constantly reinventing and refreshing the retail experience for customers and tenants."

In addition to being named Queensland Retail Property of the Year, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre also took home the Excellence in Marketing Award for properties greater than 50,000 square metres for their INDRO! Engage & Elevate Program.

Woolworths Group took home two awards, with Upper Coomera Shopping Centre winning the Excellence in Centre Management Award for properties with less than 12,000 square metres. Woolworths Doolandella won the Retail Innovation Award for becoming the first Australian supermarket to achieve a 5-Star Green Star rating for both building and interior design.

Vicinity Centres' Renee Brooking was named the Emerging Retail Property Professional of the Year, recognising her journey from security guard to Assistant Operations Manager at Grand Plaza, in addition to her lifesaving efforts performing CPR on a customer for 26 minutes and engaging at-risk youth with Queensland Police Service.

Ms Caire added the quality of nominations and award winners in 2025 also reflected the strength and optimism in Queensland's retail sector.

"As our population grows and consumer trends change, the retail sector is constantly re-inventing itself to provide customers with the experiences they need close to where they live.

"I congratulate all of our winners and thank all sixty-two nominees for showcasing the ability and achievements of retail property across Queensland," Ms Caire ended.
