Industry Voices: Orange Cabonne Forum Agenda Set

Orange Council

Orange and Cabonne councils are gearing up to host the Orange Cabonne Heavy Vehicle Forum on Wednesday 12 November 2025, with a dynamic agenda that brings together industry leaders, enforcement agencies, government representatives and high-profile public speakers.

This year's forum will feature a mix of expert presentations, panel discussions, and case studies focused on improving safety, productivity and workforce development in the heavy vehicle sector.

Orange Mayor Tony Mileto says the forum is a vital opportunity for regional voices to shape the future of freight.

"We're proud to host this event and bring together such a diverse and influential group of speakers. The challenges facing the heavy vehicle industry are complex, but collaboration is key to driving change," Cr Mileto said.

Among the highlights are appearances by celebrity truckers Yogi Kendall (Outback Truckers, Big Rigs Radio) and a surprise guest appearance from Casuarina Smith (CJ), Australia's favourite female trucker and social media personality. Their insights will be part of a panel discussion tackling the big issues in freight transport.

Also joining the conversation are:

  • Senator Glenn Sterle, Chair of the Rural & Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee
  • Anthony Boyle, Executive Director, Australian Livestock & Rural Transporters Association
  • Greg Casey, Deputy Chair, Australasian College of Road Safety
  • Lisa Fraser, Queensland Trucking Association
  • Scott Greenow, Executive Director of Freight, Transport for NSW
  • Bethany Magill, NHVR
  • Shannon Kyle, Teletrac Navman
  • Kate Beck, Beck's Transport Training
  • Craig Forsyth, Big Rigs Radio

The agenda includes sessions on fatigue management, law reform, electronic work diaries, permits, enforcement and future workforce development. Attendees will also hear a ministerial address from the Hon. Jenny Aitchison, NSW Minister for Roads and Regional Transport.

Orange Deputy Mayor Councillor Tammy Greenhalgh will officially welcome attendees, with an Acknowledgement of Country and opening remarks.

The forum offers both in-person and Microsoft Teams options, making it accessible to participants across the region.
