InFocus: Queer and Disabled Story by PWDA member Nathan
InFocus: Queer & Disabled is a digital storytelling campaign led by PWDA, centring the voices and lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ people with disability.

But in 2026, we need to change this culture. but that's why I would be calling on our peak bodies to keep lobbying the government to change people's perception of gay and lesbian, especially with disabilities.
And I would also be calling NDIS to make sure that they put in policies and procedures that allow us to have these rights and stop taking them away.
So that's my big, big takeaway, but you know what, I've been doing Mardi Gras for four years and I have enjoyed every time I've been in this event. So thank you to People with Disability for putting it on.
But let's try to get more disability services understanding human rights, especially in this area.
Thank you.
In 2026, we need to change this culture!
