Injured Woman in Perth, WA

Perth Detectives have charged a man after a seriously injured woman was located in Perth yesterday morning, Saturday 20 May 2017.

About 2:05am an unconscious woman was located in the stairwell of an apartment block on Murray Street, Perth. St John Ambulance attended the scene and took the woman to Royal Perth Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition. Her injuries are believed to be life-threatening, WA Police say.

The injured woman is believed to be a Pakistani National from the USA, in her 30’s, studying in Perth.

Police attended the scene and commenced an investigation. As part of the investigation a search warrant was executed at a residence in Dundas Road, Inglewood, where a 27 year old man was arrested.

Perth Detectives have charged a 27 year old man from Inglewood with Grievous Bodily Harm. He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Sunday 21 May 2017.

Contact has been made with the injured woman’s family, who live overseas, and they are now traveling to Perth.
