Inquiries continue after child hit by car - Oran Park

A young boy remains in hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney's south west yesterday.

About 5.10pm (Wednesday 29 July 2020), emergency services were called to Steward Drive, Oran Park, following reports a child had been hit by a black Holden Captiva.

The three-year-old boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital in a serious condition. His injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene which has now been processed.

The driver, a 29-year-old woman, was uninjured. She was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and has assisted police with their investigation into this matter.

As investigations continue, police request anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam vision to come forward.
