The Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration has commenced an inspection of visit visa operations.
The inspection team will visit decision-making centres in Croydon and Liverpool in the coming weeks. The scope of this inspection will focus on the efficiency, effectiveness and consistency of UK Visa & Immigration's interim workflow routing solution in visit visa operations.
While this inspection was not included in my 2022-2023 inspection plan, my Plan does include scope for re-inspections or unannounced inspections to reflect in-year developments and areas of emerging interest.
The inspection team anticipates reporting to the Home Secretary by February 2023.
