Interested In Lighting Up Night On New Year's Eve?

Wagga Wagga City Council is inviting expressions of interest from businesses, community groups, and organisations to plan and deliver the city's New Year's Eve celebrations for a three-year period from 2026 to 2028.

Council's Destination and Events Coordinator Cassandra Farquharson said the New Year's Eve festivities remains one of the biggest and well-attended events on the city's annual calendar.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses, organisations and groups to organise and deliver a vibrant, family-friendly celebration to bring in the New Year," Ms Farquharson said.

"Council is looking forward to seeing creative proposals for the 2026, 2027 and 2028 event.

"'We're seeking a community-focused event with a wide audience appeal that gives the community an opportunity to come together and celebrate.

"The New Year's Eve event attracts thousands of residents and visitors to the Lake Albert foreshore each year and we encourage interested groups to submit their expression of interest."
