International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) Names Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research its Official Journal

Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research (CCR) is honored to announce that its longtime collaborator International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) has named CCR as its Official Journal. The IACM is an association focused on advancing knowledge on cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, and related topics with regard to their therapeutic potential. They achieve this through supporting research, promoting the exchange of information, disseminating reliable information, monitoring and documenting developments in the field, and cooperating with organizations and associations that share their goals. This partnership between the IACM and Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research is one that will further the connections within the cannabinoid research community, and benefit all those interested in cannabis and cannabinoid medicines.

"The IACM is delighted to strengthen the partnership with the main journal in the field of cannabis and cannabinoid research. This is a major win-with step of the board's strategy to further advance the association's impact on clinical cannabinoid science, exchange between researchers, high-level education and therapeutic use of cannabis around the world," says Franjo Grotenhermen, MD, Executive Director of the IACM.

"For more than a decade the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) has worked with scientists throughout the world to provide a forum of scientific discussion for cannabis and cannabinoid medicine," says Daniele Piomelli, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of CCR. "We are excited to join forces with this distinguished group to enhance and accelerate research progress in this critical field."

Dr. Piomelli and the leadership of Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research look forward to working with the IACM to enhance its mission, the Journal, and the field.

Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research is also the official journal of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), the Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC), and works in collaboration with Fundación CANNA.
