Interruption to water supply - Lithgow

Lithgow Council

Lithgow City Council advises that water supply in Coalbrook, Davey, Stephenson, Wear and Geordie Streets will be affected on Friday 23 July to 30 July 2021 between the hours of 7 am to 5pm.

This interruption is necessary for Council's Contractors to carry out the cutting in of the new mains in the Coalbrook, Stephenson and Wear Street. The property services will be transfer from the old mains to new mains.

Following the cutting in process consumers may experience dirty water for a short period. Council will minimize this by flushing the mains following the completion of work. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run their first cold water tap closest to the street to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed.
