Investigation into man struck by vehicle at Camden

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding a collision at Camden overnight.

Shortly before 1am today (Friday 28 May 2021), emergency services responded to reports that a man had been struck by a vehicle on the Old Hume Highway, Camden.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended, secured a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police have been informed that a green Holden Commodore sedan driven by a 17-year-old male struck a 21-year-old man. It will be alleged that both parties are known to each other.

The older man was taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver is currently assisting police with their investigation.
