Investing today for a greener, more inclusive future

Totalling $10 million, applications are now open. The grants will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the successful councils:

  • Everyone Can Play in NSW grant – $4 million in funding available to renew, renovate or build inclusive play spaces for people of all ages, abilities and needs to enjoy.
  • Five Million Trees grant – $6 million in funding available for tree planting projects in public spaces such as streets, parks and plazas. The aim is to enhance the tree canopy in suburbs with the least amount of cover and help make Sydney communities healthier places to live.

Applications close at 3pm on 21 December 2018 and successful applications will be announced in early 2019.

Minister for Planning and Housing, Anthony Roberts said the two new grant programs will help councils deliver greener and more inclusive spaces that everyone in NSW can enjoy.

"This funding demonstrates our strong commitment to work with our colleagues in local government to support healthier, more resilient and more inclusive communities," Mr Roberts said.
